Sustainability

Forward farmed for a better world

We are no ordinary fish farmers

And we farm no ordinary fish. Some even call us
“the NASA of fish farmers.”

Mission

Keep improving upstream

Patagonia King Salmon is forward farmed by Sealand Advanced Aquaculture, based in pristine Patagonia. Giving the world a fish that is out of this world. Just not at the expense of our world. Made possible by our on-going quest to improve sustainable fish farming through science and technology. Even if it means going against the current.

Superior feed, naturally

Nutrition is the way to perfection. The Patagonia King Salmon gets the royal treatment and is raised on a diet of sustainably caught krill meal, fish oil, fish meal and regeneratively produced insect nutrients.

Best-in-class RAS

Our Recirculation Aquaculture System (RAS) is space-grade. By farming on land, we create the best, most controlled conditions for circular fish farming. Fresh and sea water are pumped through the system and naturally treated in a biological process, creating an ideal habitat for our fish to thrive in. Advanced organic filtration ensures water conditions are always optimal – keeping our fish fitter than fit.

Unmatched flavor

The way our salmon is raised, fed and farmed ensures maximum marbling, tantalizing texture and world-class flavor.

Supreme sustainability

Naturally filtered, regeneratively farmed – day by day, our impact on nature is further reduced.

Well-fed, naturally

Our Patagonia King’s discerning appetite is satisfied with a nutritious diet of responsibly caught krill, fish meal, fish oil and insect nutrients.

Our king salmon is farmed in a land-based Recirculation Aquaculture System in Chile which is a Seafood Watch® Best Choice; we are committed to following the recommendations of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® program.
